While we thoroughly encourage designing outside the box, sometimes a little inspiration to lead you in the right direction can be helpful.
Here are some of our favorite design aesthetics and some rugs that we think will fit in or stand out nicely with all the rest of your cool stuff.
Bold, clean lines influenced by mid-century and Scandinavian design. The Joyful Modern aesthetic uses color and pattern strategically to give a sense of balance and understated cool. Looks great with modern art prints, minimalist mirrors, and statement wallpaper.
The Bohemian aesthetic sticks to neutral and earth tones, incorporating lots of wood, wicker, and natural fibers to create a warm, inviting room. Patterns are globally inspired and typically lean toward warmer colors that compliment house plants, rich textiles, and trinkets from world travels.
The arts and crafts touches and industrial elements of the Heritage Luxe aesthetic give a space ‘old world’ charm with modern energy. Vintage books, worn leather, and cozy plaid accents give the Heritage Luxe aesthetic a library-meets-hunting-lodge feel.
The Romantic aesthetic favors pretty pastels, small scale patterns, floral imagery, and intricate curves. Think velvet furniture, eye-catching chandeliers, gold accents, mirrored pieces, and white painted wood.
